Free Delivery
Pick up your new Volvo at the Factory Delivery Center (FDC) in Goteborg
and delivery is free of charge.
Transportation to the
delivery center is also provided free of charge, whether you arrive from the
airport, city center, the ferry terminal, the train station or your hotel.
Many customers recommend spending the first night in Goteborg at the hotel and
take delivery your new Volvo the next day after being fully rested.
If you plan to stay in Goteborg, you can also take advantage of special hotel rates available through
the Volvo Overseas Delivery travel agency.
Please note that the Volvo
FDC staff cannot assist making hotel or travel reservations.

Once at the Factory Delivery Center, feel free to have a hot meal in the Volvo dining room and or freshen up with a shower before beginning your vacation.
Want to take your new Volvo out for a quick spin without the pressures of Swedish traffic? No problem. The Goteborg delivery center has its very own test track for your convenience.

When you arrive at the Volvo Factory Delivery Center, present your passport,
drivers license and order confirmation. You will also need to bring a number of
special documents with you. These items vary from program to program, so please

Changing Pickup Dates
Your pick up date will be on your order confirmation form you receive from
the factory. If your plans change and you would like to pick up your car at a
later date, you must notify
William Marks who will contact the Volvo Factory Delivery
Center about your need to
change the pick up day. To be able to offer you the best possible service it is
very important that you pick up your new Volvo on the confirmed delivery date. The Volvo FDC only delivers a limited number of cars per day. Please consider
your confirmed delivery date as important as a doctor's appointment! This will
help avoid any unnecessary delays.

Volvo Factory Tour

See exactly what it took to create your new Volvo with a tour of the Goteborg
assembly plant. Factory tours are held at regular intervals throughout the day and generally last about an hour. All tours are conducted in English. A Swedish meatball lunch is included. Volvo Car Corporation reserves the right to close the factory without prior notice.
When you arrive at the Factory Delivery Center, simply present your passport and
Volvo order confirmation documents.

A visit to the Volvo Cars Brand Experience Centre will replace the Volvo Factory Tour
on days when the Volvo Goteborg assembly plant is closed for tours to the public. Strolling

Although the Volvo Museum is not located on the grounds of the Volvo Factory it
is well worth taking a short drive to tour the Volvo Museum while you are in
Goteborg. Explore Volvo's development and successes in various
forms of transportation over land, sea and air - from the 1920s to the present -
all under one roof in Goteborg, Sweden. Find out how classical values have been

Travel from Sweden to Denmark or continental Europe
